Amritsar Srinagar 9 Days Package

Day 1: Amritsar

This morning visit THE GOLDEN TEMPLE, a central religious place of the Sikhs, but also a symbol of human brotherhood and equality. After that, visit JALLIANWALA BAGH. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, also known as the Amritsar massacre, took place on 13 April 1919 when a crowd of non-violent protesters, along with Baisakhi pilgrims, who had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab, were fired upon by troops of the British Indian Army under the command of Colonel Reginald Dyer.

Afternoon visit MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH MUSEUM. The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum was originally the summer palace of the first king of the Sikh Empire, Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The palace was later regarded as an exquisite museum housing old coins, beautiful paintings, arms and armour, manuscripts, etc.

Evening visit WAGAH BORDER. The 1947 partition of India and Pakistan led to the marking of a long white line that defines the Wagah Border between the two neighbours, separated by two heavy gates about 2 meters apart on either side. Located at a distance of 28 km from the city of Amritsar. Overnight stay at a hotel in Amritsar.

Day 2: Amritsar – Katra

This morning, drive to Katra. On arrival, I check into the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Katra.

Day 3: Katra

This morning, start trekking to the holy shrine (13.5 KM) for the Darshan of Mata Shri Vaishno Devi Ji. In return, reach back in the evening. Overnight at the hotel in Katra.

Day 4: Katra – Pahalgam

This morning, drive to Pahalgam. On arrival, I check into the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 5: Pahalgam – Srinagar

After breakfast, visit Pahalgam. The Valley of Shepherds is situated at a height of 7200 ft and is about 100 kms from Srinagar. Pahalgam is the most famous place for the Indian Film Industry. On the way, visit Awantipura ruins and saffron fields. One of the most beautiful places on earth, the town of Pahalgam offers breathtaking views. Visit Betaab Valley and Chandanwari, as well as take a horse riding trip to Baisaran meadows. Later, drive to Srinagar. Overnight stay at a hotel in Srinagar.

Day 6: Srinagar Local

This morning, visit Shankaracharya Temple situated on the top of Shankaracharya Hill, also called Gopadari Hill. In the Zabarwan Mountains in Srinagar, visit Nishat Bagh. Nishat Bagh is a terraced Mughal garden built on the eastern side of Dal Lake. Shalimar Bagh is a Mughal garden in Srinagar. Enjoy the Shikara ride on Dal Lake. After returning to the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Srinagar.

Day 7: Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar {57 Km One Way}

In the morning, drive to Gulmarg. Full-day excursion to Gulmarg. En route, you get to see the beautiful Tangmarg town and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg. Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful hill stations in the world and is also called the Meadow of Flowers. It has the world’s highest golf course, and Gulmarg is also famous for winter sports, skiing, etc. Afternoon, enjoy the Gondola ride (Cable Car). In the evening, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Srinagar.

Day 8: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar {80 Km One Way}

In the morning, drive to Sonmarg. Full-day excursion to Sonmarg, which means 'Meadow of Gold'. It has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. Sonmarg is a base camp for the holy Amarnath Yatra. One can ride on a horse to visit Thajiwas Glacier (on a pony), where snow remains around the year. Sonmarg is known as the Gateway to Ladakh. In the evening, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Srinagar.

Day 9: Srinagar Departure

After breakfast, drop off at Srinagar airport for onward journey.
